When you fill out a form on our site — whether you're a property owner requesting quotes or a contractor signing up — we collect information like your:

Payment Information
If you purchase leads or subscribe to a service, payment is processed through Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
Cookies & Automatic Data
When you visit the site, we may automatically collect certain information including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URL. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the site.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Match leads with contractors. This is the core of what we do. When a property owner submits a request, we share that lead information with contractors who serve that area.
- Send notifications. We may email or text you about new leads, account updates, or important service changes.
- Manage your account. We use your information to create and maintain your contractor account, process purchases, and provide customer support.
- Improve the service. We analyze usage patterns to make the site better, fix bugs, and develop new features.
Data Sharing — The Important Part
If you're a property owner submitting a request for quotes, your contact information and project details will be shared with contractors who purchase your lead. That's the whole point of the service — connecting you with contractors who can do the work. Depending on the lead type, your information may be shared with one contractor (exclusive lead) or multiple contractors (shared lead).
We do not sell your information to data brokers, advertisers, or anyone outside of the lead-matching process described above.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate MulchLeads:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe collects and stores payment details on their secure platform.
- Resend — Email delivery. Used to send transactional emails like lead notifications and account confirmations.
- Supabase — Database and authentication. Your account data and lead information are stored securely in Supabase.
- Anthropic — AI features. We use Anthropic's AI to assist with certain features on the platform. Data sent to Anthropic is handled per their privacy policy.
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review them.
Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Essential cookies — keeping you logged in and making the site function properly.
- Analytics cookies — understanding how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work correctly without them.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Lead data is retained for business records and may be kept even after a lead has been purchased and delivered. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active systems, though some data may be retained in backups or as required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your personal information (subject to certain exceptions, like data we're required to keep for legal reasons).
